How pricing works: checkout price, volume tiers and payment fees
Updated 2 min read
The order summary is the whole price of the order: the total it shows before you click Complete order is what you are charged. Current rates for each line are on the pricing page.
Pay as you go
Each order is paid from your balance, or by card at checkout. There are no subscriptions and nothing bills monthly by itself. Money leaves your balance between orders only if you turned on Auto-buy for a proxy, and your card is charged between orders only if you turned on automatic deposits. Your balance does not expire.
What you are charged for
- Residential, coming soon and not orderable yet: per gigabyte of traffic.
- ISP and datacenter: per IP, per month, for a term you pick at checkout, with the whole term paid up front. Longer terms cost less per month.
Volume tiers
Volume discounts depend on order size alone, with no commitment. Cross a tier and the lower unit price applies to the whole order, not only the units above the line. The ladders are on each pricing page, for example ISP pricing.
Payment fees on deposits
Adding funds can carry a payment fee that depends on the method. The fee is listed on the deposit's invoice as a Payment fee line and in the Fee column of the transactions list on the Billing page. See Adding funds to your balance and Where your balance went: the transactions list.
Working out a budget
The proxy cost calculator works out an effective price per GB and a cost per 1,000 successful requests from your own usage, before you buy.
