Connecting to an ISP or datacenter IP

Updated 2 min read

Every ISP and datacenter IP is an endpoint of its own, with its own address, port and credentials. There is no shared gateway for static IPs, so copy the values from each proxy rather than from an example.

One IP

  1. Open Proxies > ISP or Proxies > Datacenter in the side menu. Each row is one IP; the Status column should read Active.
  2. Click the row. The Connection card holds the Endpoint, the Username, the Password and the Protocol line with its port.
  3. Need the values in one string? Copy in a different format offers HOST:PORT:USER:PASS, USER:PASS@HOST:PORT and two other layouts.

Test it, using the port from the Protocol line:

bash
curl -x http://HOST:PORT -U "USERNAME:PASSWORD" https://api.ipify.org

If the Protocol line says SOCKS5, use curl -x "socks5h://USERNAME:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT" https://api.ipify.org instead.

The reply is the IP you bought. Run it again and you get the same one; static IPs do not rotate.

Many IPs at once

  1. On the list page, tick the IPs you want (on a narrow screen the checkboxes are hidden; widen the window).
  2. Click Export, choose a Format, and download a TXT or CSV file. Copy puts the list on your clipboard instead.

Without credentials

Where a proxy supports it, Change next to Authentication on its Connection card switches it to the IP allowlist, so that the addresses you list connect without credentials. See Using an IP allowlist instead of credentials.

What else is on the proxy page

  • Details: the public IP, location and plan, plus the network on ISP.
  • Status: the Expires date and the Auto-buy switch. See Renewing ISP and datacenter IPs.
  • Health: a Test this proxy button, on proxies that use a username and password.

If the IP does not answer, start with Static IP proxies: what to check.
