Telling us about abuse from one of our IP addresses

Updated 1 min read

If traffic from one of our addresses reached your systems in a way it should not have, tell us. A person reads every message and replies from the address it was sent to.

Send four things

  1. The IP address, exactly as it appears in your logs.
  2. The time in UTC, to the minute if you have it, or the first and last request you saw.
  3. The target hostname: the host on your side that received the traffic.
  4. What you saw: log lines, request headers or a short description.

You can paste this template into your message:

IP:
When (UTC):
Target:
What you saw:

Where to send it

  • Email support@proxyhive.io, or
  • use the abuse report form, which picks the "Report abuse" topic and fills in the four lines for you.

Leave out passwords and session cookies from your own systems. We do not need them to trace the traffic.

What happens next

We match the address and time to the account that sent the traffic and act under the enforcement section of the allowed-use policy.

If you are a customer and want to know what is and is not allowed, see What you may point the network at.
